Este pequeno post veio a proposito de ter reparado que não há muitos sites/blogs portugueses de apoio à comunidade LGBT e o nosso não está a ajudar muito ao ser escrito em Inglês visto que muita gente não entende assim tão bem Inglês. Infelizmente ainda existe muita ignorância no que toca a este assunto o que faz com que as pessoas não sejam tão receptivas. Mas já fizemos alguns progressos e porque não sermos nós a fazer a diferença?

How do I know if I like someone of the same gender
So I think its important to clear that out.
First of all we all know that lots of people (mostly girls) go out to parties and sometimes make out or kiss someone of the same gender but that doesn't make them Gay or Bi (actually this behaviour in parties is usually the result of too much drinking) but when we get to a certain age it's normal to feel curious.
There are two things that make you Bi or Gay, first the initial atraction (everyone can tell if a person is hot or not but i'm talking about Real atraction) and then the emotional part. If you just feel attracted to the person that doesn't make you Bi or Gay.

Harvey Bernard Milk

Harvey Milk (May 22, 1930 – November 27, 1978) was an American politician who became the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California, when he won a seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. His campaigns disturbed many religious and anti-gay rights movements and on November 27, 1978, Milk and the Mayor George Moscone were assassinated by Dan White.

Harvey was one of the most important LGBTQ activists and will always be loved and remembered by the community.

In 2008 his biographical movie ''Milk'' was released and won two Academy Awards for Best Actor in Leading Role and Best Original Screenplay. It was directed by Gus Van Sant and written by Dustin Lance Black, the film stars are Sean Penn and Josh Brolin.

For those who don't know much about the past century LGBTQ campaigns i seriously advice you to watch this movie. It shows us the great man that Milk was, the importance of standing up for our rights and how homophobia exists on every levels of society.

Fight for your rights and don't let anyone bring you down.

Today I'm gonna talk about The Rainbow Delegation :D

The rainbow delegation is a rapidly growing movement. Their main goal is to demonstrate their support for the LGBTQ community. Their group is diverse, encompassing people of all ages, races, and sexual orientations.

They give free rainbow wristbands (: but they also accept donations, these donations are only used to make more wristbands.

The rainbow wristband is a subtle, yet powerful and recognizable symbol of support for the LGBTQ community. It's a simple and effective means of displaying acceptance of ALL people.
They wear these wristbands, not for fashion, nor as a fund-raiser for any particular agenda, but rather simply to be seen.
Not just by the youth desperately needing to feel they belong, but also as a statement to all those people that would rather they didn't.
